The mounting base feels solid and grips the E26 socket tightly, so the camera stays put even when I swivel it around for a different angle. The extra reach it gives is exactly what I needed to get the lens over a shelf edge that was blocking the view.
The E26 threading fits my existing socket perfectly, and the added reach let me angle the camera just past an awkward ceiling beam. It feels sturdier than I expected too, no wobble even with the light bulb camera screwed in tight.
The reach is just right for getting my SL300 into the corner of the porch ceiling without extra wiring, and the E26/E27 fit was snug on both sockets I tried. I’ve had it up for three weeks now, and the connection hasn’t loosened even with the camera’s weight shifting during panning.
