Lorex Connect V Series 4K 8-Channel Wired NVR System with V5 4K PoE Turret Cameras - 1TB

Night vision on these turret cameras is genuinely impressive—I can read a license plate from across the driveway in full color, not that grainy black-and-white stuff. The 1TB hard drive holds about two weeks of 4K footage before it starts overwriting, which feels like plenty for a busy household.

The night vision on these turret cameras is genuinely full-color and sharp, not the washed-out black-and-white I’m used to. Set up the PoE connections in about an hour, and the 1TB drive already holds a week of footage without breaking a sweat.

I was dreading the wiring setup, but the PoE connection made it way simpler than my old system—just one cable per camera. The 4K image is so crisp that I can read a license plate from across the driveway, and the smart alerts actually cut down on the false notifications from passing cars.
